What is Clinical Pilates?
Revolution Rehab offers Clinical Pilates as a form of physiotherapy on the Sunshine Coast. This treatment can be effective for patients suffering from chronic lower back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, spinal conditions such as Scoliosis and Kyphosis, Hypermobility, and recovery post-surgery.

What are the Benefits of Reformer pilates?
Reformer Pilates focuses on strengthening the body’s core muscles, improving posture, and promoting overall health and well-being. Some benefits include:
Improved Flexibility: Reformer Pilates involves a range of stretching and strengthening exercises that can increase flexibility and range of motion in the body.
Stronger Core Muscles: core muscles in your body play an important role in maintaining good posture and preventing injury. Reformer Pilates is designed to strengthen these muscles, leading to improved stability and balance.
Reduced Pain: guided by a qualified Physiotherapist or Pilates instructor, Reformer Pilates is effective in reducing back, neck, and joint pain.
Better Posture: Poor posture can lead to a range of health problems, including chronic pain and digestive issues. Reformer Pilates can help improve posture, leading to better overall health.

FAQs for Clinical Pilates

Is an initial assessment required to attend Clinical Pilates classes?
Yes, if you are not a current client of ours we do require you to have an assessment with one of our Physios. This is so that your Physio can assess your injury, take relevant history, set goals with you and assess your current movement and function level. From there an individualised exercise program is drawn up specifically for you and will be taught and instructed to you specifically during the classes.
Are the sessions 1 on 1 or in a group?
Our Clinical Pilates Classes are in small groups of up to 4 people. However if your Physio after your assessment feels you may need more one-to-one guidance then this will be recommended and discussed with you during your consultation. We do provide bookings for private classes of one-on-one or smaller groups of two people if this is preferred, please enquire with our receptionist on how to book these.
What types of equipment do you use?
Our Buddina clinic on the Sunshine Coast is fully air-conditioned and equipped with state-of-the-art Pilates reformers and small accessory equipment to effectively treat your condition and improve your health and well-being. Mat-work Pilates options are also available if a reformer is not suitable for your individual condition or needs. L:ight weights and resistance bands are often incorporated into our classes as well where appropriate.
How do I book into a general reformer pilates class?
For our general reformer classes (non clinical, pelvic or mums classes), you can book into any available class via our online booking portal or you can contact us via phone or pop in to our Buddina clinic during opening hours. Unless you have a significant medical history or a current injury, you do not need an assessment prior or a referral for these classes. If you do have a current injury or recovering from surgery or any other conditions where you may need or want specific modifications for please book a Pilates Pre-screen appointment prior to attending your first session.

Nicole is the best physiotherapist I've seen. She is comprehensive in her assessment and holistic in her treatments. She has given me the knowledge and tools I need to support my body now and in the future. I've been dealing with sciatica from a herniated disk and at times the pain has had a severe impact on my life. After the first few sessions I feel better than ever. Couldn't recommend Nicole highly enough.
Nirimba

Omg I had a remedial hot stone massage today with Tina & it was absolutely amazing. I went in with a very sore lower back & have come out pain free. I had no idea just how tight all my muscles were & have come out feeling incredible. I would highly recommend Tina, she has magic hands & I have already booked in for my next visit.
